Pipestone County Medical Center and Family Clinic is seeking a prior authorization representative to join our team. You will coordinate patient-specific financial aspects of care and work with patients, families, and care teams to ensure access to needed services.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant or LPN background, appropriate national certifications, and 2–3 years in a healthcare office. A valid driver’s license and CPR within one week of hire are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare office.
• Familiarity with navigating an EMR.
• Experience with the prior authorization process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and clarify patient-specific financial aspects of care related to prior authorizations.
• Communicate with patients, families, care teams and providers to assess care plans.
• Help facilitate access to and continuity of care as part of the team.
