Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Pacific Heart Institute is seeking a full-time onsite Pharmacy Support Specialist. The role supports the pharmacy team in processing prescriptions, prior authorizations, distribution, and inventory management for clinic-administered medications.

Responsibilities include communicating with pharmacists and providers, handling email/EMR messages, obtaining prior authorizations, and data entry as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior authorizations and UM experience in health plans.
• Experience with health plans is preferred.
• Strong communication with providers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Communicate pertinent information to pharmacists, prescribing physicians, other providers, and/or office staff.
• Monitor and respond to e-mail and EMR inbox/messages throughout the work day.
• Assist in obtaining prior authorizations from insurance plans and coordinate with pharmacies.
• Assist with data collection and entry when needed.
• Facilitate communication with clinics regarding medication requests and stock issues.
• Transcribe relevant information into CS-Link from charts or labs.
