Job summary

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, Inc. is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist I to manage diagnostic and procedure orders, complete prior authorizations, schedule appointments, and submit results to providers.

You will assist patients with program applications to finance screening imaging and coordinate with insurance companies, physicians, and patients to ensure timely care.

Qualifications

• 1 year healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to use Electronic Health Record systems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Reviews orders in the EHR to determine need for prior authorization.
• Processes prior authorizations and submits supporting documentation to insurers.
• Schedules diagnostic imaging and procedures for patients, internally or externally.
• Manages correspondence with insurers, physicians, specialists and patients; documents in EHR.
