Job summary

Resource Label Group is hiring for a Press Support Associate to assist Press Operators in setting up and running printing presses for labels on paper, plastic, foil and film. Onsite training is provided with opportunities for growth in the printing trade.

The role emphasizes following operator guidance, handling inks, reading job orders, and maintaining equipment. Training and progression opportunities are highlighted within a hands-on production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year of manufacturing, printing or packaging experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Follow guidance from Press Operator.
• Load dies into press and install print cylinder.
• Fill ink pans, screens and pumps with prescribed inks.
• Load stock, adjust tension and feed as directed.
• Start press and adjust speed and alignment.
• Inspect prints for defects and adjust as needed.
• Clean plates, cylinders and dies as required.
• Assist in routine maintenance with supervisor approval.
• Mix inks to achieve required colors and viscosities.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
