Job summary

MCC Label in Provo, Utah is seeking a Printing Press Operator to operate and monitor premium label presses across multiple shifts. The role emphasizes accuracy to customer specifications and active involvement in safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Two-five years of press operator experience in a printing production environment.
• 2+ years as a printing press operator experience with Mark Andy P5s.

Responsibilities

• Provides immediate support when press or finishing process is down and operates equipment as needed.
• Provides input and assistance to employees and management on technical issues, problems, and potential resolutions in a timely manner.
• Reviews job tickets and verifies needed supplies are available and used as specified.
• Ensures that product is printed per customer specifications.
• Provides second sign-off for operators regarding Quality inspections as needed.
• Conducts training on safety, SOPs, and standard work.
• Encourages participation in continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and costs.
• Cascades critical information such as new techniques, procedures, practices, and guidelines to appropriate individuals.
• Partners with shift supervisor on key technical issues, including new product introductions, cost management, and quality assurance.

The Printing Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions. We're currently hiring for multiple shifts.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Previoustechnical resource experience in a printing production environment, withtwo-five years of press operator experience
• 2+ years as a printing press operator experience with Mark Andy P5s

Preferred Skills:

• Strong written/verbal interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to read, write, andcomprehendinstructions
• Basic computer skills; will train on site-specific software
• Strong initiative, problem-solving, and resourcefulness
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate priorities simultaneously;good timemanagement, planning, and organizing skills
• Ability to promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve operational excellence

Physical Demands:

• Works in a manufacturing environment and will berequiredto wear hearing, foot, and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting
• May, on a continuous basis, stand fora long periodof time and stoop, bend, and kneelfrequently
• May handle, feel and reach for items in and aroundworkarea and continuously grasp product from a conveyor for up to 10hours
• Moderate to frequent walking and lifting and/or movingup to40 lbs.repetitively isrequired
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close & distance vision, ability to adjust focus, and ability to distinguish color variations,peripheral,and depth perception
• The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud
• Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed
