Job summary

Lowen Corporation in Hutchinson, Kansas is looking for a 1st Shift Printer's Assistant. You will assist the printer in preparing and printing graphics and be responsible for maintaining print equipment and following safety procedures.

The ideal candidate should have attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and be proactive in carrying out production needs. Full-time hours are expected, Monday–Friday, with a minimum of 8-hour days.

1st Shift Printer's Assistant

Assists the Printer in preparing and printing graphics, loading screen and ink in press, keeping printing press clean, troubleshooting technical problems, maintaining print equipment, and completing other assigned tasks.

Essential Functions

• Follow safety procedures and practices outlined on the Safety Placard for each piece of equipment
• Understand job traveler and printer’s schedule
• Locate materials and inks
• Turn on UV unit and set curing rate
• Assist with installing/tearing down screens on the press
• Catch graphics off the conveyor belt and stack neatly
• Assist printer and notify printer to stop if there is a problem
• Pre‑sort graphics and identify bad graphics
• Assist printer as required for the job
• Move printed graphics to the next station

Expected Hours of Work

Full‑time; Monday–Friday, minimum 8‑hour days. Additional hours may be required to meet customer deadlines.
