Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Printer Field Service Technician I to perform field service, on-site maintenance, and shop tasks in the Port St. Lucie area. The role requires a HS diploma, reliable travel, and the ability to lift 50 pounds while maintaining high service standards.

You will document service activities, communicate clearly with customers, and support branch metrics through proactive maintenance and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Hold a High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and the PDIF new-hire class completion is expected.
• Ability to travel with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Required to take steps to obtain security and/or other clearances to enter customer premises.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time.

Responsibilities

• Report product failure trends and serviceability issues with documentation.
• Provide efficient, responsive field/shop/on-site maintenance to meet customer demands.
• Maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Showcase strong customer communication and satisfaction skills.
• Maintain performance of assigned machines and support branch targets.
• Contribute to team performance to help reach district metrics.

The Territory will Cover Port St. Lucie and surrounding areas.

Your Impact

In this position, you’ll be accountable for:

• Reporting to your manager product failure trends and serviceability issues with necessary supported documentation, ensuring accurate information and record keeping.
• Meeting customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on-site maintenance.
• Properly maintaining all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
• Showcasing strong customer communication and satisfaction skills.
• Maintaining the performance of assigned machines.
• Facilitating performance at a level which helps to achieve the branch/district’s overall metric targets.

Please note: this is a customer-facing role, and requires compliance with customer policies and protocols, which may include COVID-19 vaccination and other measures relating to COVID-19.

Do you meet these requirements?

• Hold a High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Possess a basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to successfully complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.
• Ability to travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
• Required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter the customers' premises.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).

We are providing the anticipated base salary range for this role: $19.00-26.49 Hourly . This role is eligible for a transportation allowance.
