Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Fabricator in Chantilly, VA to support a government contract in the National Capital Region. The role covers design, manufacture, and interfacing with vendors for PCB production, emphasizing PCB fabrication, assembly, and material handling.

The ideal candidate has TS/SCI clearance (or willingness to upgrade), a relevant engineering/chemistry degree or 2+ years of PCB fabrication experience, and strong teamwork and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance or willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering, or equivalent experience with PCB fabrication.
  • Experience working on a team and managing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team for production of PCB designs and assemblies.
  • Fabricate PCBs to support project tasks and objectives.
  • Review PCB designs for manufacturability and suggest modifications.
  • Maintain safe shop environment and comply with OSHA/EPA regulations.
  • Communicate with internal customers and vendors to meet requirements and timelines.
  • Review E-CAD designs for defects and IPC compliance.
  • Maintain fabrication machines, software, and inventory.
  • Support purchasing with quotes and documentation.

Description

The Mission Operations Division at Leidos is seeking a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Fabricator to support a government contract in the National Capital Region (NCR). The ideal candidate will be able to design, manufacture, and interface with commercial vendors for the production of printed circuit boards based on industry standards. The candidate must have experience with PCB manufacturing, PCB assembly, and the proper handling and management of associated materials (chemicals, gases, etc.).

Primary Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team for the production of PCB designs and assemblies
  • Fabricate PCBs to support project tasks and objectives.
  • Assistwithreview of PCBdesignsand develop solutionsfor fixturingor processing.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain a safe operating environment in the shop and work closely with the safety officer to adhere to OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Assistwith skills development fortraining and proper use of equipmenttodesignatedpersonnel;
  • Work as part of a team to communicate andinterface withinternal customer stakeholders to gatherend productrequirements forPCBs
  • Review E-CAD designs for potential manufacturing defects/challenges and recommend modifications to ensuredesign meets IPC 2221 andIPC 2611
  • Maintain fabrication machines, software, and supply inventory.
  • Communicate with vendors to assist PCB fabrication and assembly needs in support of customer requirements and timelines
  • Support Purchasing with quotesand documentation for purchases
  • Create and maintain documentation for PCB fabrication equipment, processes, and techniques
  • CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required 5% of the time.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Active TS/SCI; must be eligible and willing to upgrade to a TS/SCI w/polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience OR 4 + years of additional work experiencein mechanicalshoporactual board fabricationcan be used in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated experience working on a team
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt quickly to changing requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain IPC specialist-level certifications related to PCB manufacturing
  • Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with PCB design and manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting PCB fabrication equipment, software, and supplies
  • Demonstrated experience performing inspection of PCBs
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and assist engineers with PCB fabrication best practices
  • CAMexperienceinPCBfabrication(EAGLE,KiCAD,ALTIUM, PADS, CAM360)

Pay Range

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
