Job summary

Imagine is seeking a Digital Finishing Technician to perform finishing and bindery steps per our standards. You’ll operate digital cutting equipment including laser table, Zund, router, laminator, and related systems, ensuring productivity and quality while meeting deadlines and budget.

The role entails setup, maintenance basics, quality checks, and potential material handling tasks. Shift is third, from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four years of relevant industry experience or experience as an Imagine temporary employee with manager approval.
• Experience in printing, manufacturing, distribution and/or fulfillment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand all job ticket information.
• Operate digital cutting equipment and required software.
• Complete equipment setup and adjustments as needed.
• Cut product to final size/shape with finishing equipment.
• Monitor output quality and report issues.
• Ensure materials are stocked and available for production.
• Meet productivity and quality standards and complete on time.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on finishing equipment.
• Support safety goals and maintain a clean workplace.
• May move materials using forklift/pallet jack.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Digital Finishing Technician performs finishing and/or bindery steps necessary to complete an order in an efficient manner per Imagine standards and procedures. The Digital Finishing Technician is responsible for all aspects of operating the digital cutting equipment and continuously meeting/exceeding productivity and quality standards, as well as completing within budget and on time. Operations that may fall under the Digital Finishing Technician role include: Laser Table, Zund, Router, Laminator, Roll-X, Weeding, Gromet, Welder, and Wide Format.

Shift:

Third 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM

Job Description

• Review and understand all job ticket information.
• Operate digital cutting equipment and the software necessary for the cutting operations.
• Complete equipment standard set up and adjustments as needed.
• Cut product to final size/shape by operating finishing equipment.
• Monitor output quality, including data collection for job tracking, and report issues as appropriate.
• May be responsible for ensuring materials for the job are in stock and available for production.
• Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance to finishing equipment.
• Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements.
• May need to move material via material handling equipment (may entail use of forklift/pallet jacks).
• Work overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

• High school diploma or equivalent, four years relevant industry experience or experience as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager approval to hire full-time.

Preferred Qualifications Of Position

• Previous experience working in printing, manufacturing, distribution, and/or fulfillment.
• Experience using an ERP system.

Knowledge And Skills

• Ability to communicate/understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish color.
• Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic measuring skills including Standard and Metric units.
