Job summary

Hallmark is hiring a Print Apprentice for the Leavenworth, KS facility. You’ll gain hands-on experience operating a range of print equipment and assisting on a team to tint tissue, slit/rewind gift wrap, and learn flexographic printing basics.

Shift is full-time, Monday–Friday, 11:30pm–8:00am. Pay starts around $24/hour. Relocation is not provided. Must pass color perception tests and lift up to 65 lb as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience at GA36 (old MFG3) level or higher in Production Support or as Ink Technician or Digital Plate Maker.
• Must pass color perception test.
• Ability to lift 15 lbs frequently and 65 lbs occasionally.
• Stand and walk ~90% of the time.
• Reach/twist/bend with repetitive hand motions ~90% of the time.
• Occasionally work at/above shoulder level.
• Overtime as required during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Set up press components to meet color targets with minimal waste.
• Load/unload stock, manage ink quality and supply, change tooling, clean and store tools.
• Monitor color/register and adjust press speed for efficient operation.
• Identify problems during production and propose corrective actions.
• Complete preflight, sampling, and paperwork for shipping accuracy.
