Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on patenting experience at a law firm and/or in-house
  • Experience in patent litigation
  • MSc/Engineering Degree in Telecommunications, Physics/Mathematics or equivalent, with European Patent Attorney or LLM
  • Understanding of 3GPP technologies
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Proactive, result-oriented mindset with drive to excel in high-pressure environment
  • Proven track record of resolving complex issues and strategy execution
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams, disciplines and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Infringement and validity matters in global patent litigation
  • Identify and prepare patents for litigation from prosecution to action
  • Conduct validity, essentiality and infringement analysis; prepare rebuttals
  • Coordinate and review external work on multijurisdictional projects
  • Support licensing activities on technical and patent matters worldwide
  • Provide technical analysis

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced patent professional to strengthen a team supporting in‑and out‑licensing and litigation activities worldwide, with a particular focus on the United States.

This role is ideally suited for a qualified patent attorney or attorney at law with substantial hands‑on experience in litigating telecommunications patents. Experience in supporting licensing activities is a plus.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
  • Being responsible for infringement and validity related matters/proceedings in patent litigation activities globally
  • Identify & prepare patents for litigation from prosecution of litigation assets to preparing legal actions
  • Validity, essentiality & infringement analysis; preparing rebuttals
  • Coordinating, guiding and reviewing external work in multijurisdictional projects
  • Supporting licensing activities on technical and patent matters worldwide

Key Skills And Experience

Ideally you are an experienced and passionate patent professional who excels at synthesizing technical & legal knowledge with strategic approach in a dynamic, global environment and has the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional hands‑on experience in patenting field at a law firm and/or inhouse
  • Experience in patent litigation
  • MSc/Engineering Degree in Telecommunications, Physics/Mathematics or equivalent, combined with European Patent Attorney or LLM qualification
  • Understanding of 3GPP technologies
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Proactive, result-oriented, mindset with a strong drive to excel in high-pressure, high-stakes environment
  • Proven track record of resolving complex issues and strategy execution
  • Proven ability to navigate and organize work across multiple teams, disciplines, and stakeholders—facilitating seamless collaboration throughout project lifecycle
  • Great skills in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Understanding legal systems in a variety of jurisdictions
