Universal Beauty Products, Inc. is seeking a Principle Cosmetic Scientist (Skin care) in Illinois to lead formulation research and drive skincare innovations for new business opportunities.

The role requires strong problem solving and independent work skills to prioritize multiple projects. You will reverse engineer formulations, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and support process engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in skincare formulation.
• In-depth knowledge of principles of cosmetic science.
• Experience formulating O/W and W/O emulsions, gels, pomades, mousses; OTC formulations (optional).
• Experience with regulatory requirements for cosmetic/personal care formulations.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related discipline required with a minimum 5 years’ experience in Skin care formulation
• In depth knowledge of principles of cosmetic science
• Experience formulating O/W, W/O emulsions, gels, pomades, mousses formulations. OTC formulations (Optional)
• Experience with regulatory requirements as it pertains to cosmetic/personal care formulation
