Baker Tilly is seeking a Principal focused on Transaction Advisory Services to lead buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements from start to finish across diverse industries.

You will work with firm leadership to serve clients, build the business, mentor staff, and develop their technical and professional skills while advancing your own leadership capabilities in a fast-growing advisory firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; master's desirable.
• CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
• Fifteen (15+) years of transaction advisory experience in a professional services firm.
• Demonstrated leadership and client management skills.
• Experience with mergers and financial due diligence.

What You Will Do

• Be a trusted leader of buy-side and sell-side due diligence/quality of engagement


• Proactively engage with your clients throughout the year to understand business goals and objectives


• Beyond QOE engagements, advise, implement and deliver solutions to clients related to all other phases of the Merger & Acquisition life cycle


• Play an active role in providing valuable guidance and business recommendations


• Deliver business insight through thoughtful review, analysis, and discussion


• Manage cross-functional teams to deliver engagements and ensure client profitability targets are met


• Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally (especially with private equity firms) with the goal of acquiring new repeat referral sources, clients, projects, and revenue


• Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firmwide learning and development programs


• Support the growth and development of team members, helping associates meet their professional goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance required, master\'s or advanced degree desirable


• CPA/CFA a plus


• Fifteen (15+) years\' experience providing transaction advisory services in a professional services firm required


• Must have experience with merger & acquisitions, and financial due diligence.


• History of relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies


• Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills


• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
