What you'll achieve

As a Principal Test Technician, you'll be responsible for testing prototype development systems to determine optimum thermal settings as well as work from developed test plans and/or written or verbal instructions. You'll execute automative test and document findings and interact with subordinates and/or functional peer groups daily. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. You'll convey straightforward information to audiences.

You will:

• Test prototype assemblies to include:
  • Some light disassembly/assembly work of computer
  • Use IR camera to determine thermal hot spots
  • Adhere thermocouples to hot spots for testing
  • Thermal testing done in natural convection chamber with DAQ based equipment
  • Will need to run Acoustic testing in anechoic chamber
• Create reports from data output to be vetted by engineers
• Apply knowledge and basic problem‑solving techniques to define and resolve problems
• Work on problems of limited scope and determine a course of action based on guidelines; will receive general instruction on work and new assignments
• Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $31 - 40, hourly.
