Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems or observability infra.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Telemetry Data Platform and its end-to-end design.
• Define semantic conventions and schema standards for telemetry data.
• Lead migration to OpenTelemetry instrumentation across services.
• Integrate AI/agentic telemetry with Databricks and MLflow.
• Instrument the data platform for data freshness, quality, and cost signals.
• Build analytics on telemetry for reliability and incident metrics.
• Engineer high-volume collection and routing using FluentBit, Kinesis, and OTel collectors.
• Own telemetry cost architecture including governance and storage tiering.
• Collaborate with Data Platform, AI Platform, and infra teams to align roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers on instrumentation and cost-aware design.
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive root-cause analysis.
