Job summary
Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Technologist for the GGDO to drive strategic technical and business integration with US government programs, including DoD IC and other federal customers.
The role partners with AWS service teams, capture, sales, and solutions architecture to shape long-term federal delivery strategy, global infrastructure, and go-to-market plans while upholding security clearances and customer commitments.
Qualifications
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
- 7+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking.
- 7+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience.
- 7+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies.
- 7+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance

- Interface with Capture, Sales, and Solutions Architecture teams to provide technical depth to partnership discussions and capture/pursuit decisions.
- Coordinate a matrixed team drawn from the Federal business verticals in support of specific programs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop the long-term strategy for AWS to deliver in the Federal program space, including global infrastructure, feature and service deployment, and go-to-market approach.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with poly.

- Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
