Principal, Technical Architect (Technical Advisor)

The Implementation Team at Qualtrics is the first point of contact for new clients, and the solutions we deliver set the foundation for a lasting partnership. We need a Technical Architect who can serve as a trusted advisor, understanding our clients\' goals and challenges and then designing and recommending solutions. You’ll be at the heart of the partnership, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience and working with internal teams to drive improvements and enhancements.

How You’ll Find Success

  • Creative and Analytical Problem-Solving: design end-to-end solutions for enterprise programs that deliver important business outcomes for our clients by integrating Qualtrics functionality with external client systems.

How You’ll Grow

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Figure out how to deliver real value to our customers through our product.

  • Guide and mentor team members through problem-solving and solution design.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to solve implementation challenges and drive product improvements.
Things You’ll Do
  • Own the Technical Program: Fully design and own end-to-end product solutions and technical architecture for enterprise Experience Management programs. Partner with Engagement Managers to manage technical aspects of an implementation from beginning to end.
  • Be a Technical and Product SME: Be the go-to person for clients and internal teams when problem solving is needed or when trusted advice is required on multiple options.
  • Support Sales and Product Teams: Help the sales team with large, complex deals and work with the product team to improve features.
  • Mitigate Risk: Foresee and plan for technical risks and limitations within enterprise programs.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

We\'re looking for someone who has:

  • Experience solving business problems with software solutions
  • Experience managing enterprise-level projects with multiple workstreams
  • Experience designing end-to-end solutions for enterprise programs that integrate software platforms with external systems or applications
  • Superb problem-solving and communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in JavaScript and HTML/CSS (or similar programming languages) to design custom code solutions
  • Typically 6–10 years of experience in technical, consulting, or client-facing software/solution roles

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base pay per year; base pay offered within this range may vary by location, knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life and disability, 401(k) with match, paid time off, wellness reimbursement, mental health benefits, and an experience bonus. Illinois Annual Pay Transparency Range: $141,000 — $202,000 USD
