Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr Principal Systems Engineer for the Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) team. Located in Roy, UT, this role supports Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile accuracy with a focus on physics-based modeling and simulation.

Candidates must hold a U.S. Citizenship with a Secret clearance and be able to work on site in a secure lab environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance at time of application.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval as required
• Capable of working in a secure lab environment on site for 90%+ of total time
• Experience with physics-based mathematical modeling and simulation
• Proficiency in scientific programming languages (Python, C++, C#, SQL, MATLAB, R)

Responsibilities

• Support physics-based predictive modeling and simulation of ICBM accuracy performance.
• Mature Sentinel accuracy error models.
• Perform post-flight estimation of Sentinel accuracy performance.
• Estimate accuracy error model parameters using ground and flight test data.
• Conduct validation & verification of Sentinel accuracy error models.
• Prepare Sentinel accuracy reports and present findings to leadership and customers
