Job summary

Chenega MIOS at Redstone Arsenal, AL seeks a GMD Ground Systems Principal Systems Engineer to lead the definition of performance requirements for Ground-based Midcourse Defense Ground System. You will work as a technical staff member of the GMN SE team supporting requirements engineering, verification, and integration for the US homeland ballistic missile defense architecture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field.
• 12+ years of direct experience in complex system engineering or missile defense.
• Active Secret security clearance and ability to pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and plan requirements for GMD GSS missile field interfaces.
• Review changes for impacts to the GSS baseline and coordinate with SMEs.
• Translate standards and cyber objectives into GSS requirements.
• Analyze costs/schedule impacts and advocate for changes as needed.
• Support verification activities and govern subcontractor integration.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
