Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Configuration Management to join our team in Clearfield, UT. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of configurations, developing CM plans, and coordinating with program managers and engineers to control changes throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, a STEM degree with relevant experience, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• A bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years of related experience; or a master’s with 3 years of related experience.
• Requires 2 years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience with Air Force ICBM configuration management processes and procedures.
• Experience with systems engineering and engineering drawing practices.
• Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity and consistency of configuration of products/systems developed, integrated, and delivered to the government.
• Develop and implement configuration management plans, processes, and procedures per government regulations and contracts.
• Collaborate with program managers and technical teams to identify, document, and control changes, manage baselines, and track configuration items through the lifecycle.
• Conduct audits and assessments to ensure CM compliance and identify process improvement opportunities.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Configuration Management to join our team. This position will be located at Clearfield, UT to support the Remote Visual Assessment (RVA) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the integrity and consistency of the configuration of the products or systems being developed, integrated, and delivered to the government.
• Developing and implementing configuration management plans, processes, and procedures in accordance with government regulations and contract requirements, such as the FAR and DFARS.
• Work closely with program manager, technical teams, and other stakeholders to identify, document, and control changes to the configuration, manage the baselines, and ensure that all configuration items are properly identified, tracked, and accounted for throughout the project lifecycle.
• Responsible for conducting audits and assessments to ensure compliance with configuration management requirements and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time for the company to meet it's business needs
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of related experience; or a master’s degree with 3 years of related experience
• Requires 2 years' experience in leadership or management role
• Requires experience working with Air Force ICBM configuration management processes and procedures
• Requires experience working with systems engineering and engineering drawing practices
• Requires experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is highly desirable
• Certified Configuration Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional in Configuration Management (CPCM) certification
• Minuteman III Weapon System Knowledge and Experience
• Experience in sustainment program

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
