Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations between enterprise systems, ERP platforms, databases, and legacy applications using REST APIs, EDI, and other technologies.
• Implement, customize, and optimize enterprise applications such as NetSuite, ERP, and accounting systems.
• Evaluate technology environments to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
• Leverage AI, LLMs, and machine learning to automate workflows and develop intelligent business solutions.
• Collaborate with the CTO and cross-functional teams on architecture decisions.

Job Title: Principal Systems Architect – Software, ERP & Integrations

Duration: FTE

Salary: $155K - $175k annually + benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Principal Systems Architect with 15+ years of broad technical experience across software development, enterprise applications, ERP systems, IT infrastructure, and system integrations.

This individual will work directly with the CTO to identify technology gaps, develop solutions, integrate disparate systems, automate business processes, and leverage emerging AI/LLM technologies to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations between enterprise systems, ERP platforms, databases, and legacy applications using REST APIs, EDI, and other technologies.
• Implement, customize, and optimize enterprise applications such as NetSuite, ERP, and accounting systems.
• Evaluate technology environments across software, hardware, infrastructure, and business processes to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
• Leverage AI, LLMs, and machine learning to automate workflows and develop intelligent business solutions.
• Collaborate with the CTO and cross-functional teams on technical architecture, technology decisions, and build-vs-buy strategies.
• Support system migrations, workflow automation, and compliance-related technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on technical experience across at least three areas: software development, hardware systems, ERP/business applications, networking/IT, or e-commerce/finance.
• Experience implementing and integrating multiple enterprise systems, including ERP or accounting platforms.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, EDI, databases, and legacy-to-modern system integrations.
• Experience working across multiple industries, ideally healthcare, telecommunications, or manufacturing.
• Practical exposure to AI, LLMs, or machine learning technologies.
• Experience in startup or scale-up environments, managing multiple technical responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred: Experience with NetSuite, SuiteScript, hardware/software integration, manufacturing operations, and compliance frameworks such as FDA, ISO, SOX, GAMP, or ITIL.
