Job summary

Newell Brands seeks a Sr. Lead, Systems Engineer & Product Architect to provide system-level technical leadership for DYMO printing solutions.

You will define architecture, translate needs into measurable requirements, and manage interfaces across hardware, firmware, software, connectivity, and labeling to deliver an integrated product. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive trade-offs, plan system integration, and ensure verification and acceptance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical, mechatronics, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15+ years of engineering experience with complex electromechanical, preferably connected products.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical work across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, connectivity, and verification.
• Experience with ODMs/partners and directing external solutions.
• Proven ability to lead complex system integration and cross-boundary issues.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall product architecture, subsystems, and connectivity and how hardware, firmware, software, and labeling work together.
• Translate needs into measurable system and integration requirements with clear acceptance criteria.
• Define and control critical interfaces between hardware, firmware, software, connectivity, labels, external systems, and partners.
• Lead cross-functional technical trade-off analysis across performance, cost, risk, and schedule.
• Define product platform reuse architectures and modular building blocks for multiple generations.
• Plan and lead system integration across internal and partner-developed elements.
• Define system verification strategy and evidence for technical acceptance.
• Lead system-level technical reviews and manage critical decisions and risks.
