Job summary

Arm Limited is seeking a Principal System Performance Telemetry Architect to shape the performance telemetry and profiling architecture behind next-generation AI infrastructure, edge platforms, and physical AI systems.

You will architect how performance data is captured and exposed across complex SoCs, enabling analysis, optimization, and silicon debug. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for hardware-software observability and performance leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in system architecture and performance engineering for complex compute platforms.
• Ability to characterize workloads, identify bottlenecks, and optimize systems.
• Familiarity with hardware telemetry, counters, traces, and observability tooling.
• Hands-on experience with profiling tools such as Nsight, VTune, perf, Streamline, or similar.
• Strong communication and technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Define system-level performance telemetry architecture across CPUs, accelerators, memory, interconnects, and multi-die SoCs.
• Drive architecture specs and methodologies for workload characterization and performance optimization.
• Architect mechanisms to collect, correlate, and expose telemetry for analysis and debugging across hardware-software layers.
• Collaborate with SoC architects and profiling teams to translate needs into telemetry requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance to software/firmware/tooling teams to enable effective hardware telemetry usage.
• Support silicon bring-up, performance validation, and cross-team technical leadership.
