Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our Global Supply Chain team in Rolling Meadows, IL. You will manage on-time release of requisitions, POs, and delivery dates to keep programs on schedule, while handling material budgets and EVMS requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years in supply chain, contracts, business or related field OR Master’s degree plus 3+ years in same OR 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• SAP experience or other ERP experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain government secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage on time requisition release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule.
• Manage material budget for contract requirements and support baselining/EVMS requirements.
• Forecast material cost/performance for assigned programs using Cognos, CMEs and IPRS.
• Identify and manage program risks and opportunities related to material requirements.
• Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements.
• Monitor supplier capacity and production issues.
• Operate in a fast-paced production environment with leading-edge technology suppliers.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.

The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Global Supply Chain organization is seeking a knowledgeable Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our SC Planning team. This position is located in Rolling Meadows, IL.

What You Will Get To Do

• Manage on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule.
• Manage material budget for contract requirements. Supporting baselining/EVMS requirements.
• Manage/report and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s) (Cognos, CMEs, IPRS)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field OR Master's degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field. We will also consider a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• SAP experience or other ERP experience
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications For Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist

• Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning.
• Experience using Excel Spreadsheets
• Experience in Earned Value Management Systems
• Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
• Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
