Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks an experienced data analytics leader to design data models, build dashboards, and deliver executive reporting. You will work independently, mentor others, and lead cross-functional implementations, applying Python and AI tools to improve performance and insights.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or higher in a related field, 10+ years in SCM/procurement/fleet or IT, and strong communication and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an Associate's with 12+ years of SCM/IT experience.
• Alternative: High School Diploma with 14+ years in Supply Chain, Procurement, Fleet, or IT.
• 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement and Fleet or IT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; executive reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and optimize complex queries across data marts to reconcile data.
• Build warehouse tables for accurate downstream reporting.
• Use Python to support data transformation and automation.
• Develop Power BI dashboards with executive-ready visuals.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into data models.
• Deliver executive reporting and presentations.
