We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical supply chain analyst to support cross-functional initiatives spanning Logistics, Supply Chain planning, Business Units, ERP Systems, Revenue and External Audit. As a part of WD global operations, this role will act as a key link between overall supply chain operations, technology, internal customers, external suppliers and auditors with responsibility for understanding and documenting processes, driving analytics for improving efficiency, leading systems enhancements, identifying controls for operational risks and process improvement opportunities, and supporting revenue audit activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implementing manufacturing and/or business process improvements that will increase capacity, reduce lead-time & eliminate non-value added.
Planning supply and customer order fulfillment by:
Analyzing and resolving daily supply plan mismatches to customer demand and orders
Producing weekly material and capacity plans for the logistics warehouse.
Driving closure of excess and obsolete inventory on a weekly basis.
Driving daily closure of inquiries from internal customers.
Performing reporting and analytics tasks by consolidating shipments, orders, inventory, forecasts, and related hub transactional data from a variety of business information systems such as Business Objects, Demantra, i2, and Oracle to provide for an account overview for management reporting.
Executing Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) quarterly activities and maintain production/inventory system for accurate data.
Building reports and models to track actual orders against forecasted quantity.
Measuring the performance of each supplier from an engineering, roadmap alignment, cost, quality, and delivery perspective.
Measuring and analyzing cycle time for repetitive functions, such as mass production, order fulfillment and transportation.
Providing accurate data for monthly business process updates and periodic customer sales forecast updates.
Participate in ERP enhancement by requirements gathering, solution design, user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation, and post-implementation validation.
Participating in fiscal period close by providing manufacturing variance analysis and inventory reserve validation.
Perform monthly and quarterly inventory reconciliations across global warehouses, co-ordinate in variance investigation between systems.
Performing variance analysis on how order fulfillment changes affect the supply chain inventory.
Planning for inventory readiness to meet new product development activities to facilitate on time product launch and uninterrupted mass production.
Securing that backlog is booked, scheduled, and shipped to meet the customer expected dock dates.
Leading data collection of inputs from logistics operations/supply chain/engineering teams and coordinating cross functional review processes to set material standard cost to serve.
Conferring with teams about product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects.
Resolving daily supply plan mismatches to demand, producing weekly material and capacity plans for the factories, weekly closure of excess and obsolete inventory, and daily closure of inquiries from internal customers.
Performing manufacturing variance analysis and inventory reserve validation to support fiscal period close.
Using SQL and Excel to collect, synthesize and analyze data to understand issues concerning incoterms, revenue recognition, transit times, net payment terms, and supply chain operations.
Administering recurring cost analyses to drive recommendations for Executive team by working with Finance, Product Technology Planning, Product Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Planning and Program/Product Management.
Consolidating shipments, orders, inventory, forecasts, and related hub transactional data from a variety of business information systems such as Business Objects, Business Objects, Demantra, i2, and Oracle to provide for an account overview for management reporting.
Managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors and 3PL vendors.
Serve as a subject-matter resource for assigned logistics processes and ensure process documentation remains current. Own and maintain end-to-end process flows for supply chain logistics operations, including documenting current-state and future-state processes. Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications. Develop and maintain process maps, workflows, SOPs, and business requirements.
Partner with Internal Audit to support audits, control testing, remediation activities, and management responses. Coordinate with External Auditors by preparing periodic schedules, supporting documentation, reconciliations, and audit evidence. Work closely with the Revenue team to support revenue recognition processes, identify risk andcontrol gaps, and support accurate and timely reporting.
