Principal/Sr. Principal Test Development Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Principal Test Development Engineer for our MMIC Design Center under CAES by Honeywell Defense Systems, located in Richardson, TX. The center specializes in advanced RF solutions, and the role involves developing RF/microwave test systems, using network analyzers like the Keysight PNA-X, and supporting high-volume production testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solution development and proposals.
• Develop and optimize RF/microwave test setups and procedures.
• Perform S-parameter measurements and RF characterization using Keysight PNA-X analyzers.
• Design and troubleshoot calibration techniques and measurement uncertainty.
• Develop on-wafer testing techniques and perform advanced measurements like IP3 testing.
• Drive high-volume test solution deployment and automation.
• Collaborate with customers to meet specific test requirements.
• Design, deploy, and document custom RF/microwave test systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot test issues.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and new RF technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, with 8+ years in RF/microwave testing.
• Expertise in PNA-X network analyzers, calibration techniques, on-wafer testing, and RF measurements.
• Experience in high-volume test system development and deployment.
• Ability to work onsite daily in Richardson, TX.

Preferred:

• 11+ years in component testing, semiconductor testing experience, knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools.

Salary Range: $113,049.19 - $186,884 annually.
