Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking qualified candidates for a long-term position as a Principal or Sr Principal Systems Field Test Engineer, traveling to Wallops Island, VA (up to 90% travel) with a home base in Baltimore, MD. The role involves system integration and test, installation and checkout, operational maintenance, test equipment expertise, software testing, in-field modifications, troubleshooting, repair, and field-logistics support. The position requires flexibility for shift work and extended travel.
Join our Field Engineering Integration & Test team supporting the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) Block 3—an upgrade to the legacy AN/SLQ‑32 system that provides electronic‑attack capability for the U.S. fleet. Responsibilities include on-site support, integration, testing, and operations of radar/EW systems; troubleshooting and communicating technical findings; executing test procedures; and maintaining inventory and status reports.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00
The salary ranges are general guidelines; actual offers reflect scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may be available. The company also offers health and life insurance, disability insurance, savings plans, holidays, and PTO.
