Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks an experienced Principal/Senior Principal Systems Engineer to support our Advanced Tactical Missions BU across Linthicum, MD. You will perform system engineering, integration, verification, and validation for a software product line bridging hardware and software domains.

The role requires leading design and development of reusable components, maintaining ICDs, and ensuring traceability from requirements through delivery in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master's with 3+ years; or PhD with 0 years.
• Experience in ground systems engineering, systems integration, or software engineering.
• Experience with requirements engineering, verification & validation, and MBSE.
• Experience working with customers and subcontractors.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of application (or willingness to sit for a polygraph).

Work is performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. The Systems Engineer will lead the engineering of a family-wide software product line, driving the definition, development, and integration of reusable components across multiple product variants. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
