Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Systems Engineer to join the Eastern Region SEIT team. You will work on IS/space missions from concept through validation, handling requirements, architecture, modeling and test, and ensuring design integrity.

The role emphasizes space mission engineering, CONOPs, and cross-domain collaboration with stakeholders across programs, including DoD customers. On-site in the Eastern Region with competitive benefits and clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in STEM with 5 years relevant experience; 3 years with MS; or PhD with 0 years.
• Sr Principal: 8 years with Bachelor; 6 with MS; or PhD with 3 years.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance required at time of application.
• Experience in requirements, mission engineering, architecture, modeling/simulation, integration/test, verification/validation.

This position can be staffed at a Principal or Sr. Principal level, based on the basic qualifications below:

Basic Qualifications

• Principal Engineer: Bachelor Degree in STEM curriculum with 5 years relevant experience; 3 years with MS Degree; or PhD with 0 years of experience.
• Sr Principal Engineer: Bachelor Degree in STEM curriculum with 8 years relevant experience; 6 years with MS Degree; or PhD with 3 years of experience.

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance a time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access. Systems engineering experience (i.e. requirements, mission engineering, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, verification and validation)

Preferred Qualifications: Space experience Sensor/payload experience: Antennas Radar EO/IR Communications Processing, specifically On-Board Processing Space vehicle experience Space ground systems architecture and design experience Mission engineering, modeling and simulation Space Mission CONOPS Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T)

Primary Level Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
