Job summary

Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Principal or Senior Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer on a 3/10 Weekend Shift (Fri-Sun). The role interfaces with multiple suppliers and internal teams to disposition discrepant material tags and design repairs for composite parts. Strong communication and MES experience are required.

The position may be filled at Principal or Senior Principal level depending on qualifications, with salary ranges and a comprehensive benefits package noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years related experience or Master's with 3+ years (Principal Engineer).
• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years related experience or Master's with 6+ years (Sr. Principal).
• Hands-on experience in a composites manufacturing facility.
• Experience with military specs and standards.
• Must be willing to work 2nd Shift (2:30p.m - 12:00a.m EST).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and SAP clearance.

has an opening for a Principal or Senior Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer 3/10 Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Iuka, MS.

Job Summary

The Liaison/MRB Engineer will interface with multiple suppliers and stakeholder groups (such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel) in the design center and build facilities. Will be responsible for dispositioning discrepant material tags. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must. Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System, MES, and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN signature is a plus. The successful candidate will have experience with designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from composite materials.

This requisition may be filled as either a Principal Engineer (level 3) or Senior Principal Engineer (level 4) based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications

• Principal Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5+ years related professional/military experience; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of related professional/military experience
• Sr. Principal Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8+ years related professional/military experience; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6+ years of related professional/military experience
• Hands-on experience in a composites manufacturing facility
• Experience with military specs and standards
• Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures
• Must be willing and able to work 2nd Shift Hours: 2:30p.m - 12:00a.m EST
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Current active Secret clearance or higher
• Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
• Current NGAS MRB buyoff authority. "EN".
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
• Experience interfacing with a military customer

Primary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $139,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $116,300.00 - $174,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
