Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Principal or Sr. Principal Software Engineer - Cloud and Applications to join our team onsite in El Segundo, CA. This opportunity is contingent on program funding and start dates will be determined after funding confirmation.

In this role you will help adapt a suite of mobile control station software applications to a cloud environment, participating in building Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and infrastructure to deploy the solution to an Il‑5 cloud environment including containerization, instrumentation, integration, security, and system test. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, including Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, DevOps, in an Agile software development environment.
The individual we seek will be self‑motivated, proactive, and goal‑oriented to help us grow our services. This position may be filled at either the Principal or Sr. Principal level based on the qualifications below.

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 – $171,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 – $213,400.00
Salary determination considers scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives for senior positions.
