Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Principal Solutions Architect to support U.S. Government customers in the DC Metro/Fort Meade area. You will craft scalable cloud architectures addressing Intelligence Community needs and guide migrations to AWS, partnering with sales and AWS teams to drive revenue growth.

The role requires a track record in technology sales or consulting and the ability to translate technical solutions into measurable business value. Security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Basic: 10+ years in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data/analytics.
• Associate's degree or higher required; active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Preferred: experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in software or internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption.
• Build and migrate applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
• Educate customers on AWS value and participate in architectural discussions for cloud deployment.
• Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and reusable content.
• Build relationships with senior technical individuals to enable cloud advocacy.

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Solutions Architect to support our U.S. Government customers in the DC Metro / Fort Meade, MD area.

In this role you will partner with customers, AWS Sales, and other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address Intelligence Community business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. You will drive revenue growth, help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and guide migration of existing workloads to the cloud. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, has a proven track record in technology sales or consulting, and can connect technical solutions with measurable business value.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
• As a key member of the business development and sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
• Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Conduct one‑to‑few and one‑to‑many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
• Capture and share best‑practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer‑facing publications such as whitepapers and other reusable content.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or above.
• Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Salary for this position ranges from \$182,800 to \$247,300 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and location. The total Amazon package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
