Job summary
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) seeks a senior software professional to lead development of data-rich features for its high-availability platform. You will work across DevOps, backend, and UI areas, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalable design on busy trading days.

Qualifications
- Fifteen plus years in software development.
- Ten plus years in Java-based applications.
- Four plus years in cloud and DevOps environments (AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, Harness).
- Four plus years building CI/CD with Jenkins, JIRA, Git.
- Two plus years with distributed applications.
- Two plus years in JavaScript framework development.
- Experience leading technical teams.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Knowledge of logging/monitoring frameworks and tools.
- Understanding IAM and secure coding practices (OWASP).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code; proactive, collaborative.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with leads on complex multi-system solutions.
- Ensure production readiness and address nonfunctional requirements.

This role will be responsible for the development and delivery of business features in that application, integrating with a variety of upstream data-sources and presenting data through the user interface, all while enriching and advancing the platform. This software must achieve a blend of data-rich presentation, performance, user experience, and the capacity to support the busiest trading days in the world economy with rock-solid reliability. The candidate must be able to solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and proactively engage in technical decision making to achieve these objectives. A team player and work well with business, technical and non-technical professionals in agile environment.
- Help build a stronger team to support in-house development as the vendor engagement comes to an end.
- Technically help team in areas of DevOps, backend development and UI development.
- Technically collaborating with other leads to figure out complex project solutions involving multiple systems
- Ensure good project health by helping solve complex issues and plan for future hurdles while keeping delivery timelines into perspective.
- Be hands on involved in coding, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and documenting the systems
- Get the application ready to handle production by ensuring delivery and planning of nonfunctional aspects.
- Recommending technologies and tools that improve the efficiency and quality of OCC’s systems and development processes.

- The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.

- All employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.
$172,700.00 - $286,800.00
23% to 30%
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
