Job summary

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Java and modern web apps, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams within a regulated environment; a TS/SCI/Full Scope

Qualifications

• Twenty years of SWE experience in programs and contracts of similar scope is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack applications using Java and modern front-end frameworks is expected.

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in order to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Description:

2HB is seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to support the Cybersecurity Intelligence Team (CIT). The team develops and sustains mission software that helps analysts organize, correlate, and interpret cyber-threat information from multiple sources, providing a more coherent understanding of adversary activity. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain capabilities across the application stack. This position requires a developer who can work independently within an established codebase, collaborate effectively with software engineers, systems engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders, and translate operational needs into reliable software solutions.

Required Skills:

• Professional software-development experience using Java.
• Experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript.
• Experience with Node.js or comparable server-side JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience developing user interfaces using Vue.js, Vuetify, or a comparable modern front-end framework.
• Experience designing, querying, and maintaining relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience developing or integrating RESTful services and APIs.
• Experience using Git or a comparable source-control system.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose software problems and deliver solutions with limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
