Job summary

Emploive is seeking an Oracle Database Engineering lead to manage large-scale Oracle fleets on 19c in a high-availability cloud environment.

You will own performance tuning, upgrades, and reliability initiatives, plus design secure architectures and automation tooling with Python or Shell scripting. Strong leadership and cross-team collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6-8 years of Oracle Database Engineering, Administration, SRE experience.
• Deep expertise with Oracle 19c, including RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, SQL optimization, performance diagnostics, and HA/DR design.
• Strong Python and/or Shell scripting experience for automation, diagnostics, monitoring, and operational tooling.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex database changes, upgrades, and reliability initiatives.
• Strong understanding of database security, observability, capacity planning, and cloud-scale operations.
• Proven technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English, critical thinking, and ability to operate effectively in a demanding environment.

Produces migration guides and adoption playbooks that raise ecosystem consistency and developer experience.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $104,500 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
