Job summary

Devoted Health in the United States (Remote) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for Growth to design and ship features across marketing, telesales, and sales operations, using Go, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, React, and related technologies.

You will own complex problems, mentor teammates, and partner with business leaders to deliver measurable improvements in member outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an individual contributor in software engineering.
• Experience with a modern stack similar to Go, PostgreSQL, gRPC, GraphQL, React, TypeScript, Terraform, AWS is a bonus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup-like environment.

We do lots of different things, from making internal operations more efficient to building out consumer shopping experiences. We get excited by sitting close to our partners, naming problems with them, and working towards better outcomes.Our north star is not a specific technology, but rather the goal of continually increasing the leverage of every member of the team. We’re currently building with Go, PostgreSQL, gRPC, GraphQL, React, TypeScript, Terraform, and AWS, and we think it’s a pretty awesome stack. We use LLM coding tools when they help us. The rest of the business uses LLM-powered tools, too. It helps to understand what this technology does and doesn’t do well so we can maintain our commitment to treating members as family.We want engineer-owners with the judgment to simultaneously solve for short and long-term business value.
