Jobbeschreibung

This remote Principal Software Engineer seat at Pinterest pays $127,000 - $191,000 and comes with a backlog of genuinely interesting technology problems. The offer reads simply — remote, $127,000 - $191,000, 10 years, and a principal role where ownership is not a perk but the point.

Key Responsibilities

• Spot the quietly-excellent Laravel anti-pattern in review before it spreads through Pinterest
• Tune Google Cloud caching so Pinterest survives the Toledo launch spike on the same hardware
• Design Mentoring APIs other Toledo, OH teams will still thank you for next year
• Design, build, and maintain reliable backend services using Google Cloud and Mentoring
• Lead technical design reviews for principal technology initiatives
• Slice the ruthlessly-focused technology monolith into RabbitMQ services Toledo, OH can deploy alone
• Pair RabbitMQ and Laravel in a pipeline Pinterest can extend without your help later
• Translate technology compliance rules into .NET Core guardrails baked into the build

What You'll Bring

• Calm under the endlessly-iterating chaos a principal role tends to generate
• 9 years that taught you which corners can be cut
• Roughly 9+ years operating in a similar Principal Software Engineer position
• Fluency across Ruby and RabbitMQ, with strong opinions on both
• A knack for .NET Core that colleagues quietly come to rely on
