About Us

Our client is building an AI-driven scientific discovery platform that closes the loop between experimental design and physical robotic execution, we are focusing across enabling autonomous, machine-driven experimentation at a scale not previously possible in the life sciences.

Your Impact

We're seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Instrument Simulations to architect and lead development of a next-generation laboratory automation platform. You'll own the simulation infrastructure and integration layer connecting AI-driven experimental design to physical robotic systems — the backbone of closed-loop scientific discovery.

Scope of Role

  • Architect and implement high-fidelity simulation environments modeling complex laboratory instrumentation, fluidics, and robotic workflows.
  • Design robust integration patterns across heterogeneous hardware systems, ensuring safe, reliable execution of fully automated experiments.
  • Lead development of APIs and interfaces that let scientists and AI agents interact seamlessly with sophisticated automation infrastructure.
  • Establish best practices for hardware-software integration, system monitoring, and CI/CD across all newly developed systems.
  • Mentor engineers, likely leading a small agile team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
