Our San Diego-based client is a thriving, publicly traded HealthTech company using AI, advanced imaging, cloud software, and data science to improve how complex medical procedures are planned and delivered.
Their mission is straightforward: improve patient outcomes and lower the cost of care.
The engineering challenges sit at the intersection of software, medical devices, data science, cloud, and manufacturing. Very few companies solve all of these at once.
We're looking for a Principal Software Architect to shape the technology foundation behind patented, AI-powered patient-specific surgical solutions and next-generation device manufacturing systems.
This is not a role focused on incremental improvements. You'll define the architecture connecting AI, medical imaging, cloud software, manufacturing systems, and medical devices while helping scale a platform that directly impacts patient outcomes.
For the right architect, this is an opportunity to solve some of the hardest problems in healthcare technology, with the scope to shape the platform for years.
This role requires both technical depth and customer empathy. You'll work across multiple teams, partnering closely with data scientists and hardware R&D engineers. Success means understanding how surgeons and clinicians actually work and translating that into the architecture behind systems that connect the digital and physical worlds.
Your decisions here will shape the product roadmap for years to come and create technology that directly influences patient care and outcomes.
$210,000 to $230,000 base salary, plus performance bonuses, RSUs, and excellent benefits (100% fully covered medical for employees and dependents) and other great perks.
