Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Engineer Microelectronic Semiconductors Project Engineer to lead the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) cell at the Linthicum, MD site and Elkridge, MD complex. You will own product lines, manage technical development projects, and coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, and program management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing/process engineering, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams across multiple sites.
• U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main manufacturing engineering liaison for the SMT product line.
• Collaborate with process engineering, shop floor, and program management to define and execute manufacturing plans.
• Lead weekly meetings and root-cause analysis for production issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and deploy new equipment with factory readiness.
• Document state-of-the-art process capabilities for designers.
