Job summary

Bloom Energy in San Jose, California, is hiring a Principal Security Engineer to join our on-site security team reporting to the Chief Security Officer. This role is based in San Jose and requires full-time, in-office work five days a week.

You will design enterprise security architectures, develop policies, lead incident response, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with IT, development, and cloud teams to advance Zero Trust, cloud security, and cyber resiliency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, IT, or related field.
• 8–10 years in security with 3+ years in senior/architect roles.
• Strong knowledge of NIST/ISO 27001 and related security tech.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud security.
• Experience designing Zero Trust security models.
• Proven incident response and cyber resiliency experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design robust security architectures for enterprise systems.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, procedures.
• Perform risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Collaborate with IT, development, and business teams.
• Lead incident response and document resolutions.
• Stay updated on security trends and improve posture.
