Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Scrum Master to support cloud modernization initiatives for the US Coast Guard (USCG) at C5ISC in the Alexandria, VA area. You will guide Agile teams, remove roadblocks, and drive continuous improvement across engineering, cybersecurity, and program management to deliver secure cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12–15 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 10–13 years of prior relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Agile project delivery, including 4+ years as a Scrum Master
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and DevSecOps principles
• Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a DoD Public Trust

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and reviews
• Coach team members on Agile principles and best practices to promote a culture of accountability and transparency
• Remove impediments and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth sprint execution
• Track and report team progress using Agile metrics and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
• Collaborate with Product Owners and technical leads to refine backlogs and prioritize work
• Support cross‑functional coordination across engineering, cybersecurity, and program management teams
• Promote continuous improvement through feedback loops and process refinement
• Ensure alignment with USCG mission priorities and Leidos delivery standards
• Recommends and implements new solutions, processes, policies, standards in support of the program's strategy and operations.
• Responsible for coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower‑level professionals.

The Mission

The Digital Sector at Leidos is seeking a dynamic Principal Scrum Master to support cloud modernization initiatives for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) at Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in the Alexandria, VA area. This role is part of a high‑impact program focused on delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions that enable operational agility and resilience across the USCG enterprise.
As the Principal Scrum Master, you will guide other scrum masters and Agile teams through sprint planning, execution, and delivery, removing obstacles, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with program goals. You'll work closely with cloud engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and program leadership to drive continuous improvement and deliver value to the mission.

• Prior experience supporting DHS, USCG, or other federal cloud modernization efforts
• Familiarity with SAFe and Agile frameworks
• Experience working with technical teams in cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT environments
