Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Principal Research Scientist to lead synthetic data generation for frontier model efforts. You will define and build open-source libraries within the NVIDIA NeMo ecosystem to create synthetic datasets across text, code, structured, and multimodal data for pre- and post-training of LLMs such as Nemotron.

You will publish, mentor, and collaborate with research, engineering, product and external labs, while advancing privacy-preserving synthesis and scalable data pipelines.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent experience in CS/ML.
• 15+ years in synthetic data generation or related fields.
• Strong publication record at top venues.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and build open-source libraries in NeMo for synthetic data.
• Lead data generation pipelines for multiple modalities.
• Mentor scientists and engineers on the team.
