Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven BTP & AI Architect to support Schneider Electric's large-scale SAP transformation and ERP modernization initiative across North America. This individual contributor role will be responsible for defining, designing, and guiding enterprise architecture strategies that support the evolution of our SAP landscape, with a particular focus on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Integration Suite, AI capabilities, and intelligent enterprise solutions. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, this architect will help establish scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions that enable ERP transformation, application extensibility, data integration, process optimization, and AI adoption. The ideal candidate combines deep SAP technical expertise with strong business acumen and a proven ability to influence technical direction, align stakeholders, and deliver complex enterprise solutions from architecture through deployment.

Areas of Responsibility

• Responsible for the design of end-to-end solution templates and functional architecture in alignment with Schneider Electric business requirements, digital standards, and industry best practices, while driving solution standardization.
• Design end-to-end architectures for SAP BTP solutions, including Integration Suite, Extension Suite, Data & Analytics, AI Core, and related SAP Business AI services.
• Ensure cloud-native architecture principles and optimal use of SAP BTP services for scalability, extensibility, maintainability, and performance.
• Provide architectural guidance for North American ERP modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment between SAP S/4HANA, BTP services, integration platforms, data strategy, and AI capabilities.
• Design and implement integration strategies connecting SAP and non-SAP applications, platforms, and data sources.
• Develop enterprise solutions using SAP CAP, RAP, UI5/Fiori, SAP Build, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Design and enable AI-powered capabilities within the ERP landscape using SAP Business AI, AI Core, generative AI technologies, and intelligent automation solutions where appropriate.
• Partner with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, product owners, engineers, and project teams to deliver innovative business solutions.
• Help define and execute the ERP transformation roadmap with a focus on BTP, integration, extensibility, data management, analytics, and AI enablement.
• Stay current with SAP Business AI, SAP BTP, and emerging technology innovations, ensuring solutions align with clean core, cloud-first, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Work with Product Management, Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives, technology strategy, and solution delivery.
• Improve the flow of value through value streams by evaluating and enhancing DevOps practices, release management processes, and continuous delivery capabilities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders regarding SAP BTP architecture, integration strategies, AI adoption, and platform modernization.
• Guide solution deployment approaches, governance models, and platform adoption strategies across North American business functions.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, regulatory, and enterprise governance requirements.
• Establish architecture standards, reference patterns, design principles, and reusable components for SAP BTP and AI-enabled solutions.
• Evaluate emerging SAP and AI technologies and recommend opportunities to improve business processes, operational efficiency, and user experiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or SAP technology architecture roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP services, including Integration Suite, Extension Suite, Data & Analytics, AI Core, and related platform capabilities.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture, integration patterns, API management, and enterprise application design.
• Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, platform engineering, and enterprise integration solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing AI/ML, intelligent automation, analytics, or generative AI solutions in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with SAP CAP, RAP, Fiori/UI5, SAP Build, APIs, and modern application development practices.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data integration, and enterprise analytics concepts.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence architectural decisions across cross-functional teams without direct managerial responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP transformation or modernization programs in complex global organizations.
• Experience with SAP Joule, SAP Business AI, generative AI technologies, intelligent automation, predictive analytics, or anomaly detection.
• Experience with MLOps practices, AI governance, and operationalization of machine learning solutions.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CDS, OData, Node.js, Python, or related development technologies.
• Experience working in agile product delivery organizations and DevOps environments.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 142,400 - USD 213,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
