Aurelius Systems in San Francisco is seeking a Principal, Robotics Software Engineer to lead architecture for the robotics stack on Archimedes—perception, control, autonomy, and deployment. You will own the path from prototype to fielded software, partnering with the CTO and mentoring the robotics SWE team.

You are a senior IC with shipped systems, deep ROS2 experience, and a track record building CI/CD for robotics or hardware-in-the-loop.

• 10+ years of robotics software engineering with real shipped systems behind you.
• Deep ROS2 experience and the judgment to know when not to use it.
• Experience taking software through formal release, packaging, and deployment to end users.

Responsibilities

• Architect and direct the robotics software stack across perception, controls, autonomy, and deployment.
• Own formal release processes, packaging, and field deployment hygiene for shipped systems.
• Scale CI/CD infrastructure and grow the robotics software org alongside QA.
