CesiumAstro develops out‑of‑the‑box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles and other space and airborne platforms. We are seeking a collaborative, energetic individual to join our team as a Principal RF Test Engineer I.
The Principal RF Test Engineer is responsible for designing, analysing and implementing engineering test plans and procedures. The role requires a strong combination of hardware and software knowledge, proficiency in RF measurements, test equipment (VSAs, VSGs, VNAs, etc.), test architectures and automation. The engineer works closely with multidisciplinary teams to address company‑wide hardware test needs, and works with steep learning‑curve environments. Experience with phased array testing is preferred.
Principal‑level test engineers are distinguished by an ability to architect RF test systems, draw insightful conclusions from test results, and participate in “design for test” planning and review from the early stages of RF product development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as the engineer will present engineering design review materials to customers and the executive team and participate in proposal‑writing efforts.
