Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, test and debug integrated embedded real‑time software within heterogeneous systems composed of firmware and hardware.
- Work within a cross‑discipline team to define, refine and improve product concept, implementation, testability and guaranteed, measurable quality.
- Teach, coach and mentor less experienced staff.
- Contribute to proposals as well as preliminary and critical design reviews.
- Obtain program access as required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with at least two of the following: Embedded C++, Embedded Software Security, Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
- Familiarity with embedded Real‑Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks or Linux.
- Experience in developing complex systems that integrate hardware, firmware and software.
- Active and transferable Secret‑level U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Preferred: Knowledge of rate‑monotonic theory, layered architectural principles, reading electrical schematics, firmware source (VHDL/Verilog), assembly language, lab instruments (power‑supply, DMM, oscilloscope, logic analyzer), device drivers, and leading engineering teams.
