Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Principal Clinical Programmer (Rave EDC) to lead and deliver complex clinical programming across studies. The role requires extensive Rave experience and hands-on work with data management tools, documentation, and QA processes.

You will mentor junior programmers, coordinate timelines for multi-study programs, and collaborate with sponsors and cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience in Rave Programming and Custom Functions (2+ years in CF).
• Migration exposure, Publish Check, PPC, TSDV, Study Build programming, SDBE Rave certification mandatory.
• Preferred: Veeva CDMS experience.
• Proficiency with core data management packages (Medidata, Rave, Oracle OC/RDC, Oracle Inform, SAS).

Responsibilities

• Must have experience in Rave Programming, Custom Functions Programming (Moderate to Complex) with minimum 2+ years in CF.
• Migration exposure, Publish Check, PPC, TSDV, Study Build programming, SDBE Rave certification mandatory.
• Provides application administration and technical support as the subject matter expert on core business packages (Medidata, Rave, Oracle OC/RDC, Oracle Inform, SAS).
• Generates and maintains documentation for CRFs, databases, edit checks, import/export setups, listings, and custom reports.
• Monitors applications for workflow alerts, system errors, and defects; troubleshoots programming deliverables.
• Performs system integrations, updates, and user acceptance testing; leads development activities on projects.
