Job summary

Medtronic CST in Memphis, Tennessee, seeks a Principal Quality Engineer to lead quality strategy for cranial and spinal technologies across development, manufacturing, and lifecycle management. This onsite role requires four days per week in the office with travel under 20%.

You will partner with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and drive continuous improvements in product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or other engineering discipline with at least 7 years of engineering experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years in medical devices.
• Experience in quality engineering within regulated manufacturing or development environments.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory standards.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects or quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains quality standards and protocols across the product lifecycle.
• Leads quality records, design history files, risk management, and change control.
• Acts as quality engineering lead between design and manufacturing sites and oversees inspections and testing.
• Drives supplier quality initiatives and participates in audits and CAPA.
